Christmas is just around the corner and as an early christmas gift from Michael I got a renewed subscription to BEADWORK Magazine.
This bracelet is from the December 2013 – January 2014 issue. It is designed by Smadar Grossman, she calls it Art Deco Bracelet.
The 4 purple fire-polished beads in the center are supposed to be 8mm but I had only 2 colors of that size, none of which were a good match to the rest of the beads I had available, so I went down a size to a 6mm without compromising the design. The band is made with herringbone stitch.
Beadaholique.com put up a video on YouTube this week on how to make a simple pair of christmas tree earrings.
I thought they looked cute so I made a pair with flattened round faceted glass beads instead of the 6mm bicone she used in the video.
I think my wire is of a smaller gauge but it still works.
Simple and fun! 🙂
See you next week!
